Taylor Swift opened up how she went from only being involved in sports that were strictly involved in promoting her music career to get lost as Kansas City Chiefs chose Xavier in the draft.
Swift appeared at Travis and Jason Kelces podcast, “New Heights,” for the first time Wednesday night, and between talking about their love story talked about the pop music icon about learning what professional football was about.
She remembered to ask Travis on their first date what it was like when he was facing his brother in the Super Bowl in 2023, but did not know that they were technically not on the field against each other at the same time.

“Jason, on our first date, I legally asked him what it was like when Chiefs played Eagles in the Super Bowl, and he looked across the field across the line with review and saw his brother standing on the second, like five meters in front of him in the field,” she said.
“He didn’t even look at me. As if I know now what a crazy question it was. … I thought everyone was on the field at the same time. I thought it was like Jared Goff is here, and Josh Allen is here and they blew a flute. And they’re going to each other and they’re like, ‘Who should win?’ one-a-one match.
From there, Swift said she began to learn certain defensive schemes and got lost as the team worked out worth No. 32 in 2024.

“I didn’t know what a first down was. I didn’t know what the chains were. I didn’t know what a tight end was my friends are like, ‘Who did you body?
Even Travis expressed skepticism as she got lost in dignity when he didn’t even know who the team had drafted.
“I was so excited. I couldn’t believe it,” she added.
Later in the show, Swift said her only interaction with spots was when she sang National Anthem at football matches.

“My relationship with sports was like, you know, I grew up in Pennsylvania. I always heard my dad shout on screen and watched Eagles games. It was always the sports sounds that I heard in my house,” she said. “However, I was up in my room, playing guitar, learning instruments, playing piano. I was focused on different things. I was so laser -focused on music and that’s how it was in school.
“I wanted to go to sporting events so I could sing the nasjonal song. Everything was a means to stop to make me make music. I know every break from the Super Bowls, but I didn’t see the sport.”
Travis took credit for Swift being “shrouded” by football in an interview with the GQ magazine.
“I was definitely obsessed with sports when it came to him,” she added. “I’m competitive on his behalf, but if you and me go against each other in something athletic, I will let you win because I can’t see what points even mean. I’m a fan of athletics and sports. If I do the sport, I throw like that because I’m not really interested in where it should go.”
