- IPhone 17 Pro costs $ 50 more than iPhone 16 Pro
- However, it is also said to start with twice as much storage
- Based on this and other leaks, we have predicted pricing for each iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max configuration
It now looks very likely that the iPhone 17 series – and especially the iPhone 17 Pro – will cost more than the iPhone 16 series, with the latest leak, pointing to a $ 50 price increase for iPhone 17 Pro.
This tip comes from Leaker Instant Digital (via MacRumors) and they have actually made the same iPhone 17 Pro Price Rise requirements before. So they just repeat it here, but this shows that they are still sure of its accuracy. It’s also not all bad news, as instant digital also says there will be no 128 GB model, so you get 256 GB for your money instead.
For $ 50 more than the current 128 GB iPhone 16 Pro, the iPhone 17 Pro would start at $ 1,049, but again, it is with 256 GB of storage, and since 256 GB iPhone 16 Pro costs $ 1,099, it can actually be seen as a price drop for the iPhone 17 Pro – at least for anyone who wants 256 GB.
Predicting the other prices
This gives us some indication of what the other models and configurations can cost, but the same source (and others) has previously said to expect a $ 50 award.
In what case, if you assume that the iPhone 17 Pro is the only phone to get a warehouse, prices may look like what you can see in the diagram below.

Note that we have not included iPhone 17 air as this is a brand new model, so there is no price history to work with. Remember, there is a good chance that it has a similar price like the iPhone 16 Plus – or maybe cost $ 50 more in line with what we hear about the other iPhone 17 models.
In any case, we would take all this with a pinch of salt, but with Trump’s tariffs that increase production costs, it looks like the iPhone 17 series will cost more than the current models anyway.
We had to find out in September, with leaks suggesting September 9, could be the date when Apple is announcing the iPhone 17 series.
