Comedy Central did not air South Park Season 27 section 3 on its expected release date (August 13), with the series now intended to continue next week instead. This also means that it will not be available on paramount+ either. However, unlike the season’s previous delay, Section 3 delay was planned in advance. Instead, the network declared the day to be “South Park Today, “runs a marathon with fan-favorite episodes followed by Sitcom’s pilote episode ‘Cartman gets an anal probe’ in the typical 10.00 am.
Section 2 was delayed after the show’s controversial premiere, which contained like a deep -felled Donald Trump without clothes on and ice (immigration and customs enforcement) agents shooting puppies and driving around on ominous in large groups. Screenshots from the show were quickly used in both the White House and the American secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem’s social accounts to try to recruit more people to participate in ICE.
Department of Homeland Security (NHS) also told Newsweek: “We would like to thank you South Park to draw attention to the recruitment of law enforcement. We encourage patriotic Americans to help us remove murderers, members, pedophiles and other violent criminals from our country. “
It is for this reason that I cannot avoid thinking the delay of South Park Season 27 Section 3 has something more attached to it. It is definitely a conveniently timed break in the schedule, but given that season 27 has only been on in three episodes, which have still suffered two delays. Surely things don’t work smoothly behind the scenes? We always know what we get into the hit -TV show, but it may not be for everyone’s taste.
Has South Park Season 27 hit a political disadvantage after its season 3 delay? I wouldn’t be surprised
I don’t have to spell that the political and cultural landscape has been remarkably changed in the last few years and it may be to South Park‘s damage. While the real world of political and cultural affairs offers a smorgas table of inspiration, it also comes with a more critical lens. We have already had comments from the NHS above, where Kristi Noem also weighs in on her portrayal as well. Before her secret post-credit scene was revealed, she replied during an interview at Glenn Beck Programpodcast that threw her character’s appearance: “It’s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for what they look like. If they would criticize my job, go ahead and do it.
Spokesman for the White House Taylor Rogers also told the variation about the events in Section 1: “Like the creators of South ParkThe Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record low. This show has not been relevant for over 20 years and hangs on with a thread of uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt at attention. “
This will not be the last round of comments from political characters about what is happening on the show, and I would not be surprised if we see public conversations between the two pages on a weekly basis. I would also not be surprised if there is resistance to what is shown behind the scenes as no one exactly comes across particularly well if they appear on South Park. We have seen critics of the current US government come under fire or get their shows canceled (The late show with Stephen ColbertCancellation is a good example of this), so discussions about what should and should not be parodied, be able to hold episo releases.
Of course, all this speculation is. We have no idea what the rest of South Park Season 27’s 10-episode driving has in store for us, and I really hope that Paramount and the show’s creators can hold on to deliver the creative vision they want. I can’t deny that I’m worried about episodes 4-10, but I also keep hope. After all, South Park wouldn’t be that South Park If it wasn’t near the knuckle and beyond, right?
