- DICE has advertised new changes for Battlefield 6 Open beta weekend 2
- Playlists receive adjustments of game mode, including to the all-out warfare, and a custom search for map and choice of mode
- The second open beta starts today and ends on August 17
After the enormous success it was Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend 1, Dice has revealed new changes that it will add to weekend 2.
The study revealed the details of a new blog post, confirming that it will make adjustments of playlist on Weekend 2 for more variation and choices, including for the whole warfare list, which will include breakthrough, conquest and rush game states. You can check the updated playlists below.
“Rotating through multiple states in playlists helps us understand what our society enjoys as we shape the launch experience and allow us to keep more fan-favorite modes available at the same time,” it explained.
The second Open Beta also adds a new custom search function to give players more control over card and condition choices.
“This feature allows you to choose your favorite combinations of cards and states,” the post said. “For example, if you want to play conquest on siege of Cairo, matchmaking will prioritize putting you in a match with this combination if available. Note that this is not a server browser (which is not tested this week).
Under open beta, custom search will also be available for Open Weapon Mode playlists so players can mix and match cards and modes as they want.
In addition, training grounds will continue to offer the firing area and gameplay introductions to classes, breakthroughs and conquests, and players at career rank 14 and below will be able to access the initiative mode which includes AI soldiers.
“This initiation experience is tailored to new players and will change from breakthrough to conquest. Separately there will also be a non-playable introduction to rush,” the developer said.
Dice also confirmed that Open Beta Weekend 2 will start today, Thursday, August 14, at. 8 UTC / 1 AM PT / 9 AM BST.
The full game will be launched on October 10, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
