One of the best site builders, framer, just introduced a new feature that lets users update sites directly on the live page. The new tool called on page editing is designed to have someone, not just designers, make changes to sites quickly and safely.
In a press release shared with Techradar ProFramer said that with editing on the site, users can solve typos, update text, exchange images and even create new pages without opening design canvas or navigating the content management system (CMS). Maybe more important – they can do it without trusting someone else to implement changes.
“This is not just about making edits easier,” said Koen Bok, CEO and co -founder of Framer. “It’s about unlocking a whole new way of collaboration. With editing on the site, we lay the basis for sites where designers build the system, but anyone can contribute confidence.”
Removing bottlenecks
Editing on the page is integrated directly with Framer’s platform and offers a single-click editing that synchronizes changes to the project immediately. Rich text formatting, links, lists and creation of CMS pages can all be performed visually without changing interfaces, the company explained. Framer also said that as teams can submit edits for review, bottlenecks between marketing, content and design departments could be completely removed.
Framer says its end-to-end control of the stack, from canvas, over CMS, to hosting, gives the kind of workflow that keeps the design integrity intact, while still allowing non-technical staff to contribute and in real time at that time. It expects template creators to also benefit from the new offer, as they will now be able to create more static designs, while the flexibility of the system will enable anyone to edit and publish without the encoding of knowledge.
Editing on the page is immediately available to all paid frame plans. Prices range from $ 75/month/place to $ 200/month/place. There is also the possibility of custom prices for corporate customers.
