Mason Gooding confirms ‘Scream 7’ return: ‘incredibly happy’

Mason Gooding confirmed his return to Scream franchise.

In a new chat with US weeklyAt Scream 7 Star Mason Gooding gave fans a cryptic hint of what’s in store when ghostface hits again.

“I say [the movie is] Domestic, I would say it’s homely and unconventional, ”Gooding told 29, to the business.

For those who are not daring, Gooding has portrayed Chad Meeks-Martin since Scream 5.

Reportedly, he is especially excited to have the franchise concept Kevin Williamson back.

“From a creative point of view, [he] is the dream because he created that world, ”Gooding explained.

“Having that level of understanding, world structure and ethos behind screams was incredibly gratifying. It gave me a greater understanding of the series’ life nerves as a whole,” he added.

While tchad is “only a piece of the larger machining” of Scream Universe, Gooding even said that Williamson’s commitment will make the seventh rate “an all -encompassing addition” that spices the tone and world -building fans hoping for in a sequel or every franchise movie.

The Scream Saga began in 1996 with Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott against Ghostface along with Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers and David Arquettes Dewey Riley.

After Wes Craven’s original Four movie, the series returned with Scream 5 in 2022 and introduced new leader Sam and Tara Carpenter, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega with Chad and his twin sister Mindy, Jasmin Savoy Brown.

Although Campbell jumped scream 6, she is ready to return to the latest installment and reunite with Cox, Gooding and Brown, while Barrera and Ortega leave the franchise.

The film will also bring back legacy characters, including Arquettes Dewey, Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, both previous Ghostfaces.
