Islamabad:
The Foreign Office’s spokesman Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan on Friday was categorically condemned and rejected the recent statements from the Israeli occupying power, suggesting the creation of a so -called “larger Israel” and plans for the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.
Ambassador Khan said in a statement from the Foreign Office here that such rhetoric was an obvious violation of international law, the UN -Charter and relevant UN decisions. He called on the international community to “directly reject” these provocative notions that he warned were aimed at anchoring Israel’s illegal occupation and undermining all efforts to lasting peace in the region.
“These statements demonstrate the complete contempt of the occupying power for international efforts and reveals that the intention of escalating instability in the region,” the spokesman emphasized, calling for immediate and concrete action to stop Israel’s ongoing crimes and atrocities against the Palestinian people.
Pakistan also expressed deep grief over the tragic loss and damage caused by the recent cloudburst in Kishtwar, IIOJK. “We are expanding our sincere compassion to the surviving families and asking for the rapid improvement of the wounded,” the spokesman added.
