Scottie Scheffler added another trophy to his PGA Tour case on Sunday, and he secured it on Epic Mode with an incredible chip on hole 17.
Caves Valley Golf Club was the site of this Scheffler masterpiece, where he overtook the Scottish golfer Robert Macintyre to win the BMW championship after shooting 3-under on Sunday to take a two-shot victory of 15-Under for the tournament.
Scheffler’s second largest comeback victory in his career would not have been possible without his astonishing chip just below the 17th green.

It wasn’t the best lie in the thick rough on the par-3 hole, but Scheffler’s contact was perfect as the ball flew out on the green and began to fool against the hole. As the pace of the ball continued, the line looked perfect as it continued to track against the cup.
Then, as it relaxed the steam, it lowered it, and the crowd got lost when Scheffler got Birdie in the most unconventional way. And by doing so, he sealed the victory over macinty, which was visibly stunned by what he saw.

“Part of me would go on the pin and I held a little out there on the left side,” Scheffler said of his chip-in on 17th pr. Yahoo Sports. “I knew couples wouldn’t be a bad score on that hole today. At any time you were hollowing out a chip like that, it’s pretty nice. It looked good when it landed, looked good when it rolled and it was nice to watch one go in.”
Macinty was the leader who came in on Sunday, but he did not help his case by going 3-over in his first five holes. Meanwhile, Scheffler took the lead on the seventh green as he birded his third hole in the afternoon.

Scheffler knew that couples should be the winner on 18, and that was exactly what happened when he celebrated another win on the PGA Tour.
This victory on the final round of the FedEx Cup end game was his fifth this season, marking his second straight due to tour with at least five wins. Only Tiger Woods has been able to do so for the past 40 years.
Scheffler’s season 2025 has included two more major titles as he won at the British Open and PGA Championship before that. With two masters green jackets, Scheffler only needs the US Open Trophy to end the Career Grand Slam, which only six other golfers have been able to achieve over their careers. Rory McIlroy celebrated his at Augusta National in April.

Macinty ended 13-underneath a week, while Maverick McNealy finished in third place at 1 p.m. 11 Under. Tommy Fleetwood and Sam Burns rounded the top five on 10 below.
