Hyderabad:
A Karachi -Based Journalist was found shot dead in his car parked outside an eatery on Hyderabad Road in Sanghar -District late Saturday night. SSP Sanghar Abid Baloch told the press that Khawar Hussain Bajwa’s body was found on his car’s driving seat. He was affiliated with the Dawn News Channel.
Police later also found a gun, which the deceased held in his right hand, and a ball house from the car. According to SSP, the bullet went through his right side temple and went out of the left. Baloch said it will be early to conclude the cause of his death, adding that a wider study has started before he draws any conclusion.
The staff at the hotel, Mirchi 360 Sanghar, police reported that Bajwa twice entered their premises to use washing rooms and then returned to his car. A hotel guard said police said that after noting that the deceased had not placed any order and that the car was still parked outside their hotel, he approached the vehicle and saw blood oozes from his head.
Later he called the manager and other staff contacting the local police. A CCTV camera installed in the hotel shows the reporter who goes in and leaves. However, there was no camera in the direction of his vehicle that could have helped in the investigation.
Bajwa was alone in his car and he also went in and left the hotel alone. You Nawabshah Faisal Bashir Memon has confirmed that the gun found from his vehicle was licensed in the name of the deceased. His Sanghar -based brother of the law Zubair Ali in his version, recorded with police, stated that they were clueless about his visit to their city on Saturday, though he always used to inform them before coming to Sanghar.
His postmortem was performed at the Civil Hospital Sanghar.
Ali stated that Bajwa’s American -based brother and parents are likely to arrive in Pakistan on August 18, after which his body will be taken from the hospital for funeral in Sanghar. In the brother of the law said he was told about his death through a friend who called him and told about the incident. The police and Medico -legal officials do not yet share the first conclusions from the PostMortem report.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah noticed the incident and sought a detailed report from the police inspector.
Governor Tessori conveyed heartfelt sympathy to the deprived family and called the journalist’s death a “great tragedy for journalism and society.” Provincial ministers, members of the journalist community, friends and relatives have also expressed shock and grief over the incident. They asked for the departed soul and for the strength of the family to carry this irreversible loss.
