Govt launches crashes on illegal aliens

Islamabad:

Authorities have decided to launch an immediate crash against illegal aliens in the federal capital and four adjacent districts – Rawalpindi, Attock, Murree and Haripur – as part of a plan to declare them “secure zones.”

According to the plan, data from illegal residents will be prepared, their access to mobile SIMs blocked and issuing stamp papers for real estate transactions or other financial environment. Deputy Commissioners and District Police Chiefs of all five districts have been instructed to submit weekly status reports.

The decision was made during a high-level meeting in the Special Task Force, chairman of CDA chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa in the CDA headquarters.

Senior Ministry of the Interior, National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Terrorism Department (CTD), Afghan Commissioner and District Administrations in the five participants.

The meeting decided to take strict and immediate action against foreigners residing without valid visas. A centralized database will be developed containing details such as identities, housing addresses and other relevant information to prevent their re -setting in the future.

Randhawa instructed officials to strengthen coordination and data sharing with FIA, Nadra and other agencies. He instructed further strict enforcement of the rental laws with action against unregistered foreign tenants living in houses or hotels. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has also been asked not to issue SIMs to foreigners without valid visas.

It was agreed that illegal foreigners would also be excluded from real estate transactions through stamp papers. Randhawa emphasized that the government is determined to ensure security and stability by enforcing the law against illegal migrants, with all agencies working together on a permanent solution.
