‘Badmouting Pakistan not acceptable’

Rawalpindi:

The federal minister of railways Hanif Abbasi promised on Sunday that no one spoken against Pakistan would be accepted and emphasized that “thousands of governments can be sacrificed on the blood of our martyrs”.

He said the country was moving towards prosperity, with a high -level Saudi delegation expected to bring “billions of dollars into investments” soon.

Abbasi approached a reception hosted by Anjuman-e-Tajiran, and paid tribute to the merchants long-term support. “Whether in prison, in union policy or under national political upheavals, you stood with us.”

He added that Pakistan “was once on a fan, but now its voice all over the world in the Middle East and Central Asia, where our prime minister is welcome with respect”.

He attributed the new diplomatic momentum to the victims of martyrs and the government’s “sincerity and hard work”.

He aimed at opponents and said, “Some people wanted another 9 May and thought it would bring them to power, or that if a foreign president returned to Embed, they would also rise again, but see what happened.”

He called for unity and added, “We never opposed our opposite … No batoning charge, no tear gas stopped us. Let’s work within the law; Hanif Abbasi is with you.”

He described Pakistan’s ethnic diversity as its pride: “Pashtuns, Kashmiris, Sindhis … They are all jewels on our forehead. But anyone who says they do not accept Pakistan, we do not accept them”.

Compared to Punjab’s progress with other provinces, Abbasi said, “Look at today’s rawal pindi … there was no transport, no education or health facilities. Remove the work Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have done and what’s left? Only a village”.

He announced that “beautiful electric buses and modern stops” would arrive soon. “When our mothers and sisters travel comfortably, who will not feel proud? CM Maryam Nawaz would visit Rawalpindi on October 15 or 16 to give the city its first fleet of electronic buses.”

Abbasi also praised the army. “During the Haq War, Pakistan caught 22 Indian positions … That’s not our claim, that’s what the world says. Pakistan shot down seven of India’s jets and when they hit Noor Khan base with missiles, we hit harder.”

The Minister added that attacks on security forces were treason. “We are taking Pakistan towards development. Saudi -Arabia and the world come hit and invest billions. Pakistan exists, that’s why we exist. Railways already connect the whole country; in Sha Allah, Pakistan will hold out forever.”
