At least five people were injured in a hand grenade attack in Dalbandin, an area of Chagai district of Balochistan, late on Monday night, police said.
According to police officials, unidentified persons threw a hand grenade at a house in Dalbandin. The grenade landed in the courtyard of the house and exploded with a loud bang.
As a result of the blast, five persons, identified as Muzammil, Mushtaq, Ismail, Khan Muhammad and Ejaz Ahmed, were injured and were immediately shifted to Dalbandin Hospital for medical treatment.
Doctors said the injured sustained minor injuries in the blast. Among the victims are two from Multan, two from Sialkot and one from Narowal. They all worked for a construction company in Dalbandin.

Earlier on Monday, a police constable was martyred after terrorists launched a brazen attack on a check post in Killi Harmezai area of Balochistan’s Pishin district.
According to police officials, unknown assailants opened random fire at the check post in Harmezai region. The sudden attack left Constable Nematullah critically injured. He was immediately moved to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, but succumbed to his injuries.
The attackers managed to flee the scene shortly after the firing. In response, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search operation to nab the culprits.
