The answers to today’s Strands, game #850, are…
- HINT
- SIGN
- KEY
- PROOF

- SPANGRAM: COUNT NUMBER DESIGN
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: Perfect
I walked around this board at a pace that would impress Mrs. Marple until I reached the dreaded last word. I just couldn’t see INTIMATION at all and it took me a few minutes to finally link the letters in the right order.
Fortunately, the theme was no mystery, and when I thought of red herrings, I found TELLTALE SIGN before any play or non-play words.
Meanwhile, I had to laugh when the first word I got was TIP – often that’s something I need to get started on Wednesday, but not today!
