Former WWE Champion Jake Hager suffers a devastating Power Slap defeat

Jake Hager, a former WWE Champion and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star, took another turn in the Power Slap arena on Friday night.

Hager went bang for bang against Amanpreet Singh. The former sports shooter raised his right hand against Hager. He hit him full force and Hager fell backwards to the officials and was knocked out.

The final slap took place in the third round. Hager ate two meaty slaps before Singh’s final shot. Hager was stunned on the ground as Singh tore off his shirt in celebration. Hager did not immediately react to the knockout defeat.

It was the first Power Slap loss for Hager since making his debut in April. He defeated Devin Jenkins in a third-round knockout before going up against Singh.

Hager announced that he would take a chance at the Power Slap in March.

He came into the company with a background in amateur wrestling and mixed martial arts. He set a single-season record for most pins in the 285-pound weight class with the Oklahoma Sooners. He also had four fights with Bellator, going 3-0 with the company with a no contest.

Hager was in professional wrestling from 2006 to 2025. He appeared in WWE, Lucha Underground, Major League Wrestling and AEW over the years.

He held the WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship, ECW Championship, United States Championship and won the Money in the Bank ladder match during his time there. He was part of Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle with AEW.
