Las Vegas Raiders chose the broad recipient Jack Bech in the second round of the NFL draft last month, but according to the former TCU star, the team got a “two-for-a-special.”

Bech’s brother, Tiger, was one of 14 victims killed in the terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Jack Bech said that his dream of coming to the NFL was not only his own, but also his brother’s dream.

“I feel like, or I don’t feel like I know I’m a two-for-a-special now. Not only get Raiders Jack Bech, they get Tiger Bech too. This wasn’t just my dream, it was our dream, it was something we talked about from a very young age. My brother always saw it on me before I even saw it in myself. Friends. “

“My brother is the one he pushed me every day to be the best. He showed me how to live, he showed me how to play the game, but most importantly, showed me how to be a good person, how to put others and how to really love. So yes, it wasn’t just me, it was my brother’s dream, my family’s dream, so it was why I said.”

Bech said that finding out that his brother was dead was a “strange” and “crazy” feeling, but he has faith in God and trusts him.

“Oh yeah, it was definitely a weird feeling. You know you never think these things will happen to you before they actually do. It was definitely a hard pill to swallow, but at the end of the day, knowing that God makes no mistake, and he does everything for a certain reason and purpose and plan, and really just go to your knees and embrace it to the fullest,” Bech said.

“God does everything for a reason and that he will take care of you and my family, and that is what I and the family did, and without our faith and faith and trust in God, we certainly would not be where we are today. Like in the way we handled everything and continue to deal with everything.”

Bech said that his faith came from his parents, who led him to the church as a child and that his faith in God has been strengthened over time.

“Of course, I think my parents from a young age just always bring me to the church, you just know to put the church on me from a young age and just get older, go through high school and college just (have) different mentors,” Bech said.

“So many different people along the way help me stay on the right path and not only help me stay on the right path, but really strengthen my faith along every step on the road. It has been so huge to me, and as I said without all these people in my life who helped build my faith, I certainly do not think I would have been able to deal with, my family would not have been able to deal with the situation.”

Bech spent the first two seasons in his college career with LSU before transferring to TCU. The 22-year-old broke out in his senior year when he had 62 catches in 1,034 yards and nine receiving touchdowns.

Bech will join Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers and three tucks as weapons for New Raiders Quarterback Geno Smith.
