Seattle: Inter Milan came from behind to beat Japan’s Urawa Reds 2-1 at the Club World Championship Saturday thanks to a late winning goal from Valentin Carboni.

The young Argentine scored deep into stop time to seal the victory after Lautaro Martinez had previously brought intermediate level.

Ryoma Watanabe scored an early opener for Urawa Reds, which was backed by a noisy quota of their followers at Lumen Field in Seattle.

But Captain Lautaro Martinez, who had netted Inter’s Equalizer in their 1-1 draw with Monterrey from Mexico in their first match of the tournament, repeated the Bragden to smooth the game with 12 minutes left.

Carboni, the 20-year-old Argentine, who had not appeared for Inter over two years, then appeared in the 92nd minute to give the Italians victory.

“Our opponents are playing with their hearts and to address that we as a team have to play with more pride, be humble and know how to suffer,” Martinez told that the TV station Dazn after Inter was made to work hard for the victory.

The result leaves the Cristian Chivus Team in a strong position to qualify for the last 16, while another defeat in so many matches means that Urawa Reds is removed.

“Our feelings are very bad after this game. We are out of the tournament, so now we can only fight in the last game to reach our only victory,” said their Polish coach Maciej Skorza.

Winners of the Asian Champions League in 2023, Uawa Reds were looking to jump back from a 3-1 loss against River Plate in their opening match and they took the lead in the 11th minute.

Takuro Kaneko created the goal of a strong run down right before his low cross was swept in the first time by Watanabe.

Martinez hit the cross bar with a header to Inter shortly after, and it looked like the UEFA Champions League runners liked a shock defeat when Henrikh Mkhitaryan missed the goal from a good position in the second half.

But Inter got the equalizer in the 78th minute when a Nicolo Barella corner of the left was lit by Martinez scoring with a main kick as he fell backwards.

The scene was then set to Carboni, who had not played a competitive match since the beginning of October after maintaining a serious knee injury while on loan in Marseille.

He was ready for the footer in the net after a Petar Sucic shot hit teammate Francesco Esposito, and the ball broke to carboni inside the area.
