Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton made an honest social media post that reflected on the team’s NBA final -tab to Oklahoma City Thunder and the cracked Achilles he suffered in Game 7.
Haliburton made a late evening at X with a long statement and a photo of himself in a hospital bed. It came more than 24 hours after he was seen angry with pain on the floor of the Paycom Center.

“Man. Don’t know how to explain it other than shock. Words can’t express the pain of this letdown. The frustration is impenetrable. I have worked all my life to get to this moment and that is how it ends? Make no sense,” he wrote.
“Now that I have had an operation, I wish I could count the number of times people will tell me that I am going to ‘come back stronger’. What cliché lol, this s — sucks. My foot feels like dead weight fam. But what am I most I think is my mind. It feels like I am falling but I know it is something I want to look back when I am Fanth.
“Like 25 -years, I’ve already learned that God never gives us more than we can handle. I know I’m coming out on the other side of this a better man and a better player. And honestly, right now, torn Achilles and all, I don’t regret it. I would do it again and again after that, to fight for this city and my brothers. For the chance to do something special.”

Three Achilles injuries in an NBA autumn season: What happens and how is it resolved?
Haliburton apologized for the city of Indianapolis for failing fans, though he did nothing of that.
He delivered one of the most epic playoff performances in recent memory as he broke the fans’ hearts in Milwaukee, Cleveland and New York on the way to the NBA final. He did it almost in Oklahoma City if it wasn’t for a veal strain that hampered him as well as the cracked Achilles.
“Indy I’m sorry. If any fanbase doesn’t deserve this, it’s you. But together we’ll fight like hell to get back to this particular place and get over this obstacle,” he added. “I don’t doubt for a moment that you have my back and I hope you know I have yours. I think Kobe said it best when you’re in this same situation. There are far greater problems/challenges in the world, so a torn Achilles. Stop feeling upset with yourself, find the silver lining and come to work with the same belief, the same drive and the same conviction as ever.” And that’s exactly right. I will do all I can to get back to the right.
“My journey to get to the place I am today wasn’t happening, I’ve been pushing myself every day to time, I dust off myself and come back to be the best version of Tyrese Haliburton.”
Haliburton is reportedly likely to miss the 2025-26 season.
