Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have thrilled the British with a big update on the return of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed that their two children will follow them to Britain in July.

It will mark their first trip to the UK since they visited to celebrate the platinum jubilee of the late Queen Elizabeth in 2022.

King Charles has reportedly given the green light to the Sussexes as the 77-year-old monarch is said to be desperate to see his grandchildren in California.

Harry previously expressed his concern that he does not feel it is safe to bring Meghan and their children to the UK after losing their taxpayer-funded police protection in 2020.

If the Sussexes are welcomed to the King’s residences, they would be covered by the existing security arrangements on the property.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on June 19 that King Charles had offered Harry and his family accommodation at a royal property during their visit, although it has not been revealed where they will be staying.

The former working royals will carry out a series of public engagements centered around the Invictus Games Foundation and Prince Harry’s long-standing charity work.

To mark a year to the 2027 Invictus Games, the couple will visit Birmingham’s National Exhibition Center (NEC), the primary venue for the Games.

The visit opens the door for the children to spend time with King Charles.

Since the family moved to California in 2020, Archie is believed to have only spent a handful of occasions with the 77-year-old monarch, and the monarch has only met Lili, who is named after Queen Elizabeth’s childhood nickname, once.
