A behind-the-scenes video shared by the Red Arrows gave royal fans a rare glimpse into the precision and preparation behind one of the most anticipated moments of Trooping the Color – the spectacular flyover over central London in honor of His Majesty The King.
In the footage posted on Instagram, the display team could be seen preparing their aircraft and briefing pilots before taking to the skies, with Buckingham Palace visible in the distance as the capital prepared for the dramatic aerial finish.
The video captions the moment as a look “behind the scenes of the Red Arrows’ flyover over London for His Majesty the King’s official birthday.”
As the flypast ended and the Royal Family’s balcony appearance came to an end, the crowds slowly began to disperse from The Mall, marking the end of this year’s Trooping the Color festivities.
The annual ceremony, which marks the sovereign’s official birthday, is traditionally scheduled for June in the hope of more favorable weather and this year certainly delivers.
The day culminated at Buckingham Palace, where the King and Queen were joined by senior members of the Royal Family on the iconic balcony to watch the Red Arrows streak across the sky in formation.
Among the standout moments was young Prince Louis, who once again captured the public’s attention as he leaned away from his siblings during the fly-by and watched the jets in unmistakable awe.
