Actress Elsie Kelly, famous for her starring role as audience favorite Noreen in the ITV comedy Benidormbreathed his last at the age of 89 on April 21, 2026.
Kelly’s passing was confirmed by her representative Michelle Skyes on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
Skyes said: “She passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family on April 21, 2026, aged 89.”

Shortly after the news of Kelly’s passing, tributes have poured in as Benidorm director Derren Litten penned a heartfelt tribute.
“So sad to share the news of the passing of Elsie Kellu, aka Noreen, i Benidorm“, he wrote.
“One of the most beloved characters on the show and certainly one of the most beloved cast members. Elsa’s acting skills and comedic genius were so natural they were almost taken for granted,” added Litten.
Kelly’s other credits include starring as the gossipy cleaner, Mrs. Tardebigge, i crossroads.
She also stars in the 1996 film Intimate relationships after taking a break from television.
However, she soon after made a comeback to the small screen and played in series such as Leatheras well as starring as Chef Joan in the 1996 adaptation of The Famous Five.
