Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark moved closer to a one-game suspension Wednesday night when she picked up her seventh technical foul of the season against the Connecticut Sun.
With the Fever leading 95-67 toward the end of the third quarter, Olivia Nelson-Ododa was called for a foul. Saniya Rivers, Nelson-Ododa’s teammate, started jabbing at Clark. The WNBA sharpshooter appeared to tell Rivers to check the scoreboard, and before things got more frantic, the refs gave them both technical fouls.

“She said she locked me in, so I said ‘Scoreboard,’ and the ref didn’t like that,” Clark said after the game, via ESPN .
Clark was adamant that she won’t keep her aggressive style of play at bay just because she faces a game ejection with her next technical foul.

“I think just keep trying to control your emotions as best you can. That intensity and that fire is what makes me, me, but also knowing that my team needs me and finding a good balance between that. But I don’t think I’m going to play with that in the back of my mind,” she said.

Clark had 27 points and 11 assists in 27 minutes. She was 8-of-13 from the field and made five 3-pointers.
