Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis delighted royal fans with their participation in the annual Trooping the Color event on Saturday as they rode in a carriage with their mother Princess Kate.
The Princess of Wales later joined King Charles and Queen Camilla to watch the remaining presentation after the royal cavalcade reached Horse Guards Parade.
Prince William, Princess Anne and Prince Edward had ridden on horseback in the parade. To watch the presentation, the Wales children had joined Duchess Sophie to watch from the window.
Heartwarming moments were captured as great-aunt Sophie watched over the three Wales children and then recounted what appeared to explain the event.
This is not the first time that the Duchess of Edinburgh has been seen taking care of William and Kate’s children.
At previous Trooping the Color events, Sophie stood alongside Charlotte and Louis and was seen answering questions as the children gestured to something in the matter.
In a famous moment from King Charles’ coronation, Sophie had bent down to a smiling Charlotte to point something out to her.
Sophie already shares a good relationship with Prince William and Princess Kate. The duchess has reportedly been a shoulder to lean on for Catherine as he went through her cancer journey.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Sophie seems to have a fondness for George, Charlotte and Louis.
