Peshawar:
Authorities have introduced a partial curfew on several routes over the upper and lower South Waziristan district to ensure public security in the midst of security concerns.
According to a review issued by the Tank Vice Commissioner, the curfew will be enforced on Beni Zai Ragzai to Jandola, Tanai and Sarokai to the Jandola routes in the Upper South Waziristan. In addition, Cadet College Road remains closed from the Wana Zalai camp during the starting period.
According to the official message, there will be a complete restriction of movement on March 17, 2025 (Monday) from 6am to 6pm. During this time, roads leading to Kod Qila, Manzai, Khargai, Ahmed Wam and Jandola remain closed to all types of traffic.
The authorities have called on the public to cooperate with security forces and strictly comply with the curfew restrictions to avoid inconvenience or security risks.
Police fought for two terrorist attacks on Dadiwala and Pezu police stations in Lakki Marwat district late Friday night. According to officials, heavily armed terrorists launched attacks on both stations, but police reciprocated with full strength and coercion attackers to flee. No injuries were reported in any incidents.
Separately targeted an IED explosion a police vehicle on Landi Wah Road also in Lakki Marwat. The driver and a constable inflicted minor damage in the attack. An attacker was killed in the retaliatory action. Police launched a manhunt for the other attackers.
In second violence, terrorists launched simultaneous attacks on several police stations and three security forts in the Tank District on Saturday. According to reports targeted terrorists Kot Murtaza Post, FC Fort Sur Kamar, FC Fort Murtaza and Gomal Police Station. The intense shot and explosions created panic among the local population.
