Gracie Abrams shared a rare update on her relationship with Paul Mescal, giving fans a glimpse into the life they’ve built together away from the spotlight.
The singer spoke about the actor while performing on New York Times podcast Pop cast.
The singer revealed that the actor helped write a song called imaginary friend for her upcoming album Daughter from hell and said that it was a special experience to work together.
Speaking about their home life, Gracie said: “We have a very creative home with friends who are so good at what they do and everyone feels happy to share that with each other.”
However, the couple have been together for about two years, but have mostly kept their relationship private.
Gracie explained that while she values privacy, she doesn’t want to feel like she has to hide her happiness.
“I don’t like the feeling of hiding. I also love privacy where it feels right,” she said.
The Close to you hitmaker also shared that their relationship gives her comfort despite online criticism.
“I think it’s a part of my life that brings me so much peace and joy, and I’m not going to pretend that’s not true, but I also think it’s not like an open door policy.”
Gracie also praised their songwriting session, saying, “It was so much fun writing together.”
Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal made their red carpet debut earlier this year after keeping their romance mostly private.
