Watch 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix live streams to find out how many points the 19-year-old Kimi Antonelli will take during the summer break at the top of the drivers’ championship. He has already won six races this year and leads Lewis Hamilton by 45 points. For context, last year’s champion, Lando Norris, won a total of seven races throughout the 2025 season.
Second in the drivers’ championship, Hamilton is now five points ahead of George Russell after the latter’s unfortunate incident on the first lap in Belgium. Russell clipped Hamilton’s left front, resulting in his own DNF and a five-second penalty for Hamilton. The Ferrari driver eventually finished P4. He has won a record eight times at the Hungaroring, one of his favorite tracks, and with Ferrari’s current pace and his own form, a Hamilton win could be on the cards.
His Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc, meanwhile, avoided a potential penalty in Belgium for causing a collision with Oscar Piastri before finishing P2, backing up his victory at Silverstone. Elsewhere, Red Bull are back at the front with Max Verstappen securing a podium and teammate Isack Hadjar charging from the back of the grid to finish P6.
McLaren have not enjoyed the strongest campaign so far, but they will be hopeful heading into this weekend due to their excellent record at the Hungaroring. They have finished on the podium here every year since 2023, even securing a one-two finish last time out. They are also expected to bring upgrades which should further boost their chances.
