Watch Miami Grand Prix 2026 live streams as the F1 teams return to the tarmac after their unexpected, protracted layoffs through April.
It’s not quite the start to the season that champion Lando Norris was hoping for, so it will be interesting to see what improvements McLaren have been able to make to his and Oscar Piastri’s cars over the past month.

While the TV cameras will inevitably spend much of their time chasing celebrities in the crowd in Miami this weekend, the action on the tarmac comes at a fascinating time for the championship. The enforced month-long break will have given engineers the chance to tinker under the bonnets, while every driver on the grid will have replayed the twists and turns of the 5.4km track over and over in their minds.
Miami is a happy hunting ground for reigning F1 champion Lando Norris – he took his first win here in 2024. And with teammate Oscar Piastri topping the podium last year, McLaren will be hoping for a return to winning ways after their disastrous start to the 2026 season. They have promised a ‘brand new car’ to kick-start their campaign.
Mercedes, on the other hand, must be pee-a-hoop about how the year has gone so far. Three wins from three will have been beyond their wildest dreams at the start of 2026, and Kimi Antonelli and George Russell will see Miami as a golden opportunity to entrench themselves at the top of the standings. However, the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton have also made great strides and will be desperate to get their first win of the season here.
The part street track, part traditional circuit at the Miami Autodrome makes it a difficult beast to master, with exceptionally fast straights that reigned in plenty of tight corners. In their first home Grand Prix, the Cadillac team will be keen to capitalise, with Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez still seeking the constructor’s first ever points in Formula 1.
