Lawmaker accused of illegal possession

15-20 armed men allegedly scaled the border wall, forcibly took possession of the property

RAWALPINDI:

A citizen has accused PML-N legislator Zia Ullah Shah of allegedly occupying a property in Rawalpindi by filing a complaint during an open court session held by the CPO.

According to the complaint filed by Ayaz Khan, he purchased a one-kanal property in Syedpur scheme from its previous owners, obtained the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and began construction after securing approval of the building plan.

He said caretakers, including a Mudassar, were staying in the house under construction when 15 to 20 armed men allegedly scaled the boundary wall, entered the premises, threatened the guards and forcibly took over the property.

The complainant claimed that when he arrived at the scene after informing Rescue 15, the armed men pointed guns at him and prevented him from entering the house.

Speaking to The Express Pakinomist, Zia Ullah Shah dismissed the allegations as fabricated.
