Nikki Glaser took pointed jabs at Leonardo DiCaprio when she hosted the Golden Globes, but the actor appreciated the joke.
After the awards ceremony, Glaser, as is her custom for celebrity roasts during her hosting segments, sent Titanic star flowers.
DiCaprio himself sent her a return gift, the comedian and host told Jimmy Fallon during The Tonight Show.
“He sent me three baskets of pasta as a thank you. So funny. So good. Part of me was like, ‘Does Leo want to smash?’ I was like, ‘Okay,'” Glaser told the host.
But she added: “The type of girl he’s after, he wouldn’t send pasta to,” she mused, before joking, “Spaghetti O’s – maybe I would have been more his type. A crib full of Dunkaroos and Go-Gurt, I’d have been like, ‘Oh, he’s into me.’ He’s dating young girls. I can’t stop!”
The Shutter Island the actor took Glaser’s joke in good humor, and his gift directly reflected that.
During the ceremony, she joked that the actor is such a private person that no information about him is available online. Except when he once shared that his favorite food is pasta, in a 1991 interview.
DiCaprio laughed and said “Yes!” and gave Glaser a thumbs up when she made the joke.
She also told Fallon that she was struggling to find a joke about Don’t look up actor, because she did not want to joke with his young girlfriends, since it has become a redundant fact about him.
