If you’ve been keeping a close eye on all things Paramount+ this past week, you might have noticed Mayor of Kingstown season 5 has finished production.

Tobi Bamtefa, who plays Bunny on the show, confirmed the news on Instagram, adding in a caption: “To those starting from season 1, I envy you. Your socks are about to be blown off in the best possible way. 5 seasons with no breaks!!”

New episodes of the Taylor Sheridan series are set to be the last ever, despite the crime thriller originally slated to run for seven seasons.

Let’s look back at the Taylor Sheridan TV canon to see what kind of release plans have come before. Farmer season 2 was released in November 2025, with filming completed in early August 2025.

Corresponding Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch wrapped production in March 2026, resulting in an incredibly quick turnaround, ready for release in May 2026.

In short, Sheridan shows that it’s only a matter of months between filming and the small screen as a finished product, which means – at best – we could expect Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 will premiere as early as November 2026.

In Sheridan’s world, anything is possible, but an exact release strategy will likely depend on what else is confirmed for Paramount+’s year-to-year schedule. We are waiting Dexter: Resurrection season 2 and Yellowjackets Season 4 is coming sometime before the year is out and I don’t think I’ll see Farmer season 3 or Madison Season 2 is also too far out.

It all depends on how much a priority Mayor of Kingstown season 5 is for Paramount+, and that’s a question we just can’t answer. However, the editing process is starting now, and that can only be a good thing.
