Meghan Markle, who had been busy building her brand, sparked speculation in the past few months about the Sussex family’s financial status.
Although reports claimed the As Ever founder was planning an expansion, especially after Netflix cut ties with her lifestyle brand. Some sources claimed that Meghan could run out of money before the end of the year.
But the Duchess of Sussex received some lovely news when she earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for her Netflix show.
The 53rd annual awards show will be broadcast live on October 30 at the Hollywood Palladium, and Prince Harry and Meghan may make an appearance.
This is Meghan’s first ever Emmy nomination, where her show, With love, Meghanis up against A Different Breed, George to the Rescue, Motherhood, and The Wizard of Paws in the Outstanding Lifestyle Program category.
Although the show got a big nod, it will not be returning for a third season on the streaming platform, and a spokesperson for Meghan confirmed that.
Although the streamer’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, had stressed that Meghan still has a relationship with Netflix and she has other projects in the works.
This is expected to be a big boost to Meghan’s financial situation as As Ever saw a drop in buyers. Journalist Alison Boshoff had predicted a “looming crisis” and pressure to sell jams, teas and flower sprinkles before their expiry date at the end of next summer.
Otherwise, this could cost her millions, especially with Harry’s legal debts piling up, it could all have led to bankruptcy.
Therefore, a positive nod from Emmy’s work in Sussex could favor.
