Pakistan is marking the one-year anniversary of Marka-e-Haq with nationwide ceremonies and rallies paying tribute to the armed forces for inflicting a humiliating defeat on India during the clashes last May.
Marka-e-Haq (battle of truth) refers to the 19-day military conflict with India, extending from 22 April to 10 May 2025.

During the 87-hour conflict, Pakistan shot down eight Indian fighter jets, including the French-made Rafale, and dozens of drones. The war between the two nuclear-armed nations ended on May 10 with an armistice agreement brokered by the United States.
