NEW Strands today (game #796) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #796, are…
- BASIC
- PROSAIC
- COMMON
- COMMON
- PEDESTRIAN
- SPANGRAM: RUNOFTHEMILL
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 tip
OK, I’ll be honest – I spent the first minute of this game looking for flowers, and when I didn’t see any, I took a hint from my non-game words.
BASIC elicited a head clap for not realizing the meaning of “garden variety” and the damning collection of synonyms for mundane.
From here on in the game was pretty straightforward – well, you could almost say PEDESTRIAN.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Thursday, May 7, Game #795)
- BLESS
- APPROVE
- ALLOW
- LICENSE
- PERMISSION
- SANCTION
- SPANGRAM: GIVETHENOD
