NEW Strands today (game #853) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #853, are…
- DESIRE
- COLORFUL
- MIXING
- EXCITING
- MOUSLING
- SPANGRAM: FIREWORKS
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: 1 tip
Talk about a theme that can mean absolutely anything.
Completely in the dark, not an entirely unusual feeling to be honest, I worked my way around the board looking for non-played words for a hint. Instead, I saw the spanframe FIREWORKS and remembered today’s date.
I recently attended a fireworks display that was underwhelming, partly because of the murky conditions, but also because the drones that made up a large part of the display had to be seen from a certain angle to impress; a case of “uh?” instead of “oh!”.
Meanwhile, it was nice to see some color in the Strands for a change. A rare treat.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Friday, July 3rd, Game #852)
- STANDING
- STUBBORN
- INTENTIONAL
- FAST
- MAIN STRENGTH
- SPANGRAM: DEVELOPMENT
