NEW Strands today (game #777) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #777, are…
- ADAPT
- MODIFY
- TWEAK
- REFINE
- IMPROVE
- AMEND
- SPANGRAM: THEREIFIXEDIT
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: Perfect
Despite the fact that I managed to complete this game without any hints, I still classify it as “tricky” because it took me longer than usual to complete – and that was with a lot of help from a few rare letters.
The other lead was that after seeing “there” on the board I decided it must be part of the spangram and continued connecting letters until I got to THEREIFIXEDIT – a spangram that felt a lot like a magician pulling an endless handkerchief from a top hat.
So today’s quest was all about perfectionism and people who have to get things just to feel like they’ve completed a job to their high standards – a trait I certainly don’t have myself. Instead of “I fixed it”, my phrase when I fix things is “that will do”. Maybe we shirkers will get our own Strands one day.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Saturday, April 18, Game #776)
- BUDGET
- BARGAIN
- CHEAP
- AFFORDABLE
- SALE
- SPANGRAM: ON THE CHEAP
