NEW Strands today (game #774) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #774, are…
- HOBBY
- LEISURE
- SIDE LINE
- INTEREST
- PASTIME
- SPANGRAM: JUSTFORFUN
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 tip
I totally got the wrong end of the stick with today’s theme and took “this doesn’t work” literally when I searched for words associated with broken things.
Fortunately, my fruitless search also contained plenty of non-gaming words, and a hint of HOBBY set me on my way to discovering several words associated with leisure activities, including RECREATION – which was so long I was convinced it would turn yellow and be spanrammed.
Instead, today’s yellow snake was JUSTFORFUN, which is possibly where I go wrong with my hobbies, as they all – cycling, puzzles and watching football/soccer – involve more pain than fun.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Wednesday, April 15, Game #773)
- TOPAZ
- TURQUOISE
- OPAL
- THE YARN
- DIAMOND
- PERIDOT
- SPANGRAM: BIRTHSTONE
