NEW Strands today (game #788) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #788, are…
- DISCREET
- FOG
- STEAM
- STEAM
- HUMIDITY
- AEROSOL
- SPANGRAM: CONDENSATION
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
The term “wet rugs” is used to describe someone who sucks the fun out of a situation.
Having failed to spot “killjoy”, the most obvious word associated with this theme, I decided on the board that we were looking for a more literal connection to wet carpets, which could only mean CONDENSATION.
The two Z’s helped me find DRIZZLE and from there it was a synonym search, although AEROSOL was not one I expected.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Wednesday, April 29, Game #787)
- HOOK
- REL
- LUKE
- WEIGHT
- DRIVEN
- TONGUE
- COOLERS
- BOBBER
- SPANGRAM: TACKLE
