Added flavor? Surely it can only mean herbs and spices?
Oh, how wrong I was. So after wasting time looking for oregano, basil and thyme and finding several words that weren’t games, I took a hint to get started and BECHAMEL set me to the task of finding sauces.
Although I now knew the task at hand, this continued to be a really difficult game – mainly because the names of other possible sauces suddenly disappeared from my head, but also because every game word today was long and complicated.
So yes, it took me another tip to complete. Congratulations if you made it without any.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
