As I worked my way around the board collecting “brand names”, I couldn’t help but wonder how many of today’s trades would be considered ARTISANS’ work in the future – programmer, writer, barista?
Many in the search are jobs that are now quite niche, but we only have to think about how many people are named SMITH or COOPER to realize how common they once were.
Not that common, though, preventing me from needing a hint, although in my case it was laziness that made me take the shortcut, thus demonstrating my inevitable replacement by a far more capable AI version.

Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
