NEW Strands today (game #802) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #802, are…
- ARCHERY
- DISGUISE
- FOREST
- FREE
- CONNECTION
- SHERIFF
- SPANGRAM: ROBINHOOD
- My assessment: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Surely “men in pantyhose” could only mean one thing? Superheroes and their sidekicks. It was therefore with confidence that I canceled “robin” – the name of Batman’s sidekick back in the tights era. Alas, it was not to be.
Fortunately, I saw “hood” on the top row and realized that the “men in pantyhose” we were looking for were from an era well beyond the 1960s.
From here it was just a case of remembering the essentials of the ROBIN HOOD story – although the only version I know involved a fox, a turtle and a bear that were for jazz.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Wednesday, May 13, Game #801)
- SPUNK
- PICK
- GRIT
- NERVE
- GUMPTION
- FIBER
- HEART
- SPANGRAM: WHATITTAKES
