NEW Strands today (game #779) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #779, are…
- BOLD
- INCREDIBLE
- GUTSY
- BRAVE
- ADVENTUROUS
- SPANGRAM: DAREDEVILS
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: 1 tip
At first I briefly entertained and then eliminated the possibility that today’s search was about Tom Cruise movies… Then I found FED and deduced that we were searching for words associated with people for whom risk is an occupational hazard.
With this in mind, I went looking for “stunt performer” but managed to find DAREDEVILS instead – a word that sums up people in this profession. After a run with long span frames, we returned to a relatively short one today, and one where there was a game word (POSSIBLE) that was longer.
It’s hard to imagine a less daring pursuit than Strand’s—unless, of course, you completed today’s puzzle while hanging upside down in a trapeze suspended over a chasm. And if you did, I applaud you.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Monday, April 20, Game #778)
- GLITTER
- GLITTER
- SHINE
- FORGET
- GLOW
- GLITTER
- SPAN FRAME: CATCHTHELIGHT
