Taking the “by any other name…” theme literally, I began by searching for pseudonyms.
After watching YELLOW and HEDGE it still didn’t make sense to me so I took a few hints in WILD and BRIAR.
I don’t think I’ve ever gone so deep into a Strands game without understanding what I was looking for. Fortunately, after exhausting all available non-game words, I saw the spangram and my exhaustion was complete.

What is NYT Strands?
Strands is the NYT’s not-so-new-anymore word game, following Wordle and Connections. It’s now a full-fledged member of NYT’s game stable that’s been running for a year and can be played on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile.
