NEW Strands today (game #826) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #826, are…
- BULL FROG
- SNAKE
- tortoise
- CHAMELEON
- CROCODILE
- SPANGRAM: COLD-BLOODED
- My assessment: Hard
- My score: Perfect
I’m not quite sure how I knew that herpetology was related to amphibians and reptiles, but it just popped into my head somehow.
Most likely it was something to do with my recent David Attenborough documentary, but whatever, it was a huge help in cracking today’s game. Spying on BULLFROG also helped almost immediately.
Despite my confidence in the theme, this game was still challenging, as were the beasts themselves; every word was well camouflaged and we had a spangram zig-zagging across the board.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Saturday, June 6, Game #825)
- MARRIAGE
- NUPTIALS
- UNLOCKED
- LIFTING
- Marriage
- SPANGRAM: TYINGTHEKNOT
