Mystic Falls fans, consider this your official reason to celebrate.
Almost a decade later The Vampire Diaries finished its unforgettable run, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley team up again — this time for a twist-filled Hulu thriller that trades vampires for murder and neighborhood secrets.
The fan-favorite duo will star and executive produce You deserve to knowan adaptation of Aggie Blum Thompson’s 2025 novel.
The mystery follows three suburban couples whose seemingly perfect lives begin to unravel after a man is murdered.
Dobrev will play Gwen, while Wesley takes on the role of Scott – two neighbors who find themselves on opposite sides of the investigation.
Dobrev shared the exciting update on Instagram, writing, “I’ve been waiting to share this one.”
She added, “@paulwesley and I reunite to executive produce and star You deserve to know.
Getting to help shape this adaptation from both sides of the camera has been incredibly exciting. So grateful to our partners at @hulu, @unwell, @alexandracooper and @kapital_entertainment. Let’s do this!!!!!”
The project also marks another major producing credit for Dobrev, who says she’s embracing life behind the camera.
“It’s a whole different muscle,” she told me recently. “It’s incredibly satisfying. I love producing.”
She explained that producing offers something acting often cannot.
“Just because acting is a very passive role [at times]to have to wait for auditions or scripts to be sent… Producer, you pick up the phone, you call.”
