Tony D’Angelo faces challengers from all different directions coming after his NXT Championship.
Naraku and Mason Rook have both made their intentions clear when they first arrived in NXT. Naraku finally got a shot at the NXT Championship, which will come up at The Great American Bash on Sunday. Rook capitalized on Kam Hendrix’s attack on D’Angelo during his first appearance on NXT. He hit D’Angelo with a moonsault. He then attacked D’Angelo and Hendrix after the two met in a match.
Pakinomist Digital asked D’Angelo what fans who may not be familiar with Rook can expect from him. But D’Angelo admitted he didn’t have many nice things to say about him.

“I think he has a lot of potential. I think he’s very athletic for a guy his size. I owe him a credit, for sure, for assaulting me and then also attacking me at the end of the fight,” D’Angelo said. “I don’t know. Personally, I don’t have a lot of good things to say about the guy because I understand he wants the title. He wants to make a statement once he gets to NXT, but not at my expense.
“But I’m sure you’ll see a lot more of him. I’m sure he and Kam Hendrix have some beef to settle. I’m sure we’ll see how that goes.”
