Phil Mickelson is ready to fight the latest allegations against him that saw him booted from his own golf club.

The six-time major champion was accused of making inappropriate contact with a female employee before a round of golf this spring at The Farms Golf Club in the San Diego area.

Mickelson allegedly approached the female employee in the clubhouse and made non-consensual and inappropriate physical contact with her. The employee reported the incident to club supervisors after rejecting the alleged advances after Mickelson returned to the golf course.

However, Mickelson’s attorney said video evidence will exonerate Mickelson of any wrongdoing.

“There is a great deal of misinformation circulating, and while Phil’s full attention is devoted to a private family health matter, he has retained defamation attorneys and is determined to hold accountable any publication or individual trading in speculation or false rumors,” Mickelson’s attorney, Tom Clare, told Golf Digest.

Club officials moved quickly and actually found Mickelson in the middle of his round, confronted him about the accusation on the golf course and asked him to leave the premises. Mickelson reportedly left the facility before completing his round.

“Following an employee’s report of member misconduct, the club provided immediate and ongoing support to the employee, conducted a thorough independent investigation of the incident and took decisive action. This individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club,” a statement from the club to Golf Digest explained in part.

“The Farms conducts thorough reviews of all reported matters in accordance with California law and takes appropriate action when warranted, consistent with our commitment to integrity, excellence and accountability. To protect the safety and privacy of our employees and members, we are unable to comment further on this matter. We appreciate your understanding.”

Mickelson, a member of LIV Golf, has played in only one of the circuit’s nine completed events this season due to an undisclosed “personal health matter” in his family. The lone appearance at LIV came at the end of March in South Africa, where he finished T-48.

The 55-year-old released a statement on April 2, a week before the Masters, explaining that he would not be attending Augusta National and would be out for “an extended period of time as my family continues to navigate a personal health issue.” He is not registered for next week’s US Open at Shinnecock Hills.
