Says Pakistan ready to send any humanitarian or material aid to aid in relief efforts

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life caused by “devastating floods and extreme weather disturbances” in Turkiye and offered condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people.
In a post on X, the prime minister said: “On behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, as well as on my own behalf, I wish to express our deepest condolences to my dear brother Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the brotherly people of Turkiye”.

He noted that the floods and severe weather had hit the provinces of Gaziantep, Sanlıurfa, Adiyaman and surrounding regions, resulting in “loss of precious lives and property”.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s support, the prime minister said: “Pakistan stands in full solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Turkiye in this hour of grief.”
“Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and all those affected by this natural disaster,” he added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also assured that “Pakistan is ready to provide any humanitarian or material assistance Turkiye may need in its relief and recovery efforts”.
