Prince William returned to the spotlight with an emotional video message following Princess Kate’s big milestone.
On June 29, the Prince of Wales appeared in a video tribute to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, sharing ‘dearest memories’ with royal fans.
He shared: “Although I had the privilege of knowing the late Queen better than most, some of my fondest memories are of my grandmother here at Windsor.
I remember many quiet afternoons drinking tea with her and my grandfather in the castle, chatting, sharing stories and seeing how completely safe she was here, surrounded by family and her much-loved dogs and heroes.”
William confessed that his love of teatime was given to him by the late Queen. He also delighted viewers by sharing the rare sight of his grandmother, who used to ride her horses freely in Den Store Park when she was away on official engagements.
“These moments with my grandmother are ones I will always cherish,” the future king concluded.
It is important to note that Prince William’s video honoring the Queen was shared on the Cabinet Office’s official Instagram page.
According to the team, the Queen Elizabeth Digital Memorial marks an important milestone today with the launch of a new collection of archive content and records, including memories from those who knew her and the wider public.
They asked people to join Prince William and share their memories of Queen Elizabeth on their website.
William made an unexpected appearance on social media after the Princess of Wales completed the National Three Peaks Challenge for cancer awareness.
