Notorious ransomware operators ShinyHunters apparently went on a leaking spree earlier this week, releasing sensitive data about around 40 different organizations.
In a recently released report, Cybernews says the group leaked data from Mytheresa, Zara, Carnival, 7-Eleven, Pitney Bowes, The Canada Life Assurance Company and Hallmark. These are all large organizations with millions of customers. Medtronic, Aman Resorts and Marcus & Millichap, among others, were also mentioned for having their data published.
When it comes to the types of data allegedly leaked, Cybernews cites personally identifiable information (PII), customer data, transaction history, internal company data and large data sets, including millions of records and terabytes of information.

Leaves data “indefinitely”
Specifically for Medtronic, nine million records of PII were cited, as well as internal company data.
“The extortion group kept its promise to publish volumes of data it claims to have stolen from the four victims — about 38 million records in total, as well as “terabytes” of internal company data,” Cybernews reported.
The earliest listing was on January 23, 2026, the publication further stated, while the most recent was earlier this week.
It also said Medtronic has since been removed from the site of the leak, suggesting the company either paid the ransom or is currently negotiating the release of the files.
For the others, ShinyHunters promises that the data will remain on the site “indefinitely”:
“We will ensure that every corner of the criminal underworld has your data and is abusing it,” the group reportedly said.
ShinyHunters is currently one of the most active ransomware operators out there. The group completely abandoned the encryption part of the attack and focuses exclusively on data exfiltration. It is apparently cheaper and easier to maintain, while being just as lucrative.
The group also recently released files stolen from Rockstar Games.
