The Earth Appreciation Festival sale is live right now on Steam and highlights more than 170 games that showcase the natural world or engage with themes like climate change and pollution.
Organized by developers Slug Disco, Stray Fawn and Mechanistry, it’s the fifth incarnation of the sale and has been timed perfectly with Earth Day 2026 this week. It is presented with Cool Earth as an official charity partner, with developer activations and content creation streams to raise funds.

They are contrasted by a number of grittier eco-dystopian games, including the brilliant strategy titles Frostpunk 2 and Endless Legends 2.
Early access and upcoming release products are also featured in the Earth Appreciation Festival Showcase, which can be viewed in a separate tab on the sales page. If you’d rather not part with any cash at all, then you can always check out the list of games with free demos available. I know my colleague Rob Dwiar is a big fan of the plant puzzle Botany Manor Houseso i will try its demo later today.
The sale ends on April 24, 2026, so be sure to check it out before the end of this week if you’re interested.
