“So, this Ultimate X was a lot more special than the first one I did in Rebellion last year. Look, me, I’m not a big fan of heights, so it’s actually going to take me a while to climb that thing and I’ve got to see what I’m going to do,” he told Pakinomist Digital. “But this year was very special for me because Amazing Red was in it. A lot of people don’t know, but it was on commentary, Amazing Red was a huge mentor to me throughout my career. Someone I looked up to. I mean, obviously me and him, same stature, you know, he did amazing things, no pun intended, amazing things in the X Division, it was just his first part of the X Division, it was his first part of the X Division, and it was just his first part of the X Division. a lot special for me.

“I was really thankful that me and him got a moment in the ring as well. I know it was very special for him too. Hope he comes back. It’s going to be great. I think it’s great, cool to see him back. But it was very special for me. You know, Slammiversary last year, I went in with a torn ACL and I risked my career being in the Nemeths, The Hardz, and Rascal. year, I came in with a brand new knee in Ultimate X knows a fight that’s pretty dangerous for me to be in. If I would have fallen the wrong way, I could have blown my knee out. So I took a chance, but to get a chance to go to a championship like the X Division title and be in the ring with a guy like Amazian, Elegian, Leon, etc. It was a very stacked match to be in. I was very grateful to be a part of it.”

Navarro added that battling his fear of heights is just part of the job.

“Yeah, I’m not a fan of heights and I and it’s maybe just because of the injury, right? Like maybe I was just thinking too much like, ‘Oh man, what if I get hurt.’ But I mean, that’s just me man,” he said. “I just keep God first. I count on the adrenaline to get me through, which it does, because once the bell rings – I have no choice. I’m going to go get that belt.

“Once that bell rings and the lights come on, I feel good. But it’s just having a strong mentality of just knowing that this is what I’m meant to do and I can’t think negative. I’ve got to go out there positive and know that I’m going to go in healthy, go out healthy and maybe walk out a champion.”
